Islam is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion which teaches that there is only one God and that Muhammad is the messenger of God. It is the world’s second-largest religion with over 1.8 billion followers or 24.1% of the world’s population, most commonly known as Muslims. Today we are discussing about some of the facts about Islam or Muslims.
Islam is an Arabic word means “surrender” or “submission” , Which means that Muslims submit their worship to only one god or they prostrate to only one God ‘Allah’.
There are six Faith (Iman) of Islam, which you generally need to accept to become Muslim or to enter in Islam.
There Faiths are
- Believe in only one God (Allah).
- Believe in Angels of God.
- Believe in Holy Books.
- Believe in Prophets
- Believe in Day of Judgement.
- Believe in God’s predestination.
These are the 6 faiths of Muslims, if you deny any one of the faith then you are not included in Islam or then you are not Muslim.
Islam and Christianity, both have very similarities and on the other side both have very differences between them.
Islam and Judaism, both have very similarities and on the other side both have very differences between them.
Christians believe Jesus to be God, or Son of God or Holy spirit but Muslims believe that Jesus (Isa) was the Prophet of
Muslims and Jews, both believe on Moses (Musa) as the prophet of God, but Jews don’t believe on Jesus and Mohammad as the prophet of God.
Muslims believe that there is only one God (Allah), who is the creator of this entire universe and everything in this universe.

Muslims believe that one day we all will be alive again and god takes the final assessment of humanity. Those who do good works in their life on earth will be rewarded and sent to paradise and those who do bad works are sent to hell for their bad works and deeds.
Muslims women cover their self and mostly Muslims girls wear Hijab, because they don’t want to show their face to their body to other people.
Muslims don’t eat Haram food, Muslims don’t eat ‘Pork or Pig’.
Muslims don’t eat from the ‘Fajr’ sun rise to sun set’ Magrib’ in the holy month of Ramadan, this is the month when God revealed Quran to Muhammad by Angel Gabriel.
Muslims pray fives times a day in mosques and girls pray at home.
At the end of the holy month of ‘Ramadan’, Muslims celebrate ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ on this day in morning they pray in mosques and after that they enjoy on this day, sweet dishes, biscuits, new dresses, decorations and much more on this day.
On 10 Dhu al-Hijjah, Muslims celebrates ‘Eid-ul-Adha’ because Abraham had shown that his love for God superseded all others: that he would lay down his own life or the lives of those dearest to him in submission to God‘s command. Muslims commemorate this ultimate act of sacrifice every year during Eid al-Adha.
